Kohl earned his B.S. from Grand Valley State University in Biology and Biomedical Science. He has additionally taken several graduate courses in Biostatistics at GVSU and has his certification in SAS Programming Fundamentals. He has previously worked for Corewell Health in their Lab Central as a Lab Tech Assistant. Kohl joined Van Andel Institute in January of 2024.
